General Customer Service

As a U.S. based company, we do our best to source wholesome, quality ingredients from the USA. But when we can’t find natural, sustainable products here in America, we partner with like-minded farmers across the world. Because we control our own sourcing and manufacturing, we can hold our local and worldwide suppliers to the same USA standards, including audits of their facilities and in the field. But no matter where our products come from, they all visit our California facility before reaching you.

You can find a local retailer new you by visiting our Dealer Locator. You can also purchase directly from us here on our website. We're also available on popular websites like Chewy.com and Amazon.com.

Chews & Treats

The expiration date is read as MM/DD/YY. For example, EXP 031826 expires on 03/18/26.

Every dog loves to chew, but they all have their own style and pace. Knowing your dogs chewing style and habits will help you pick the safest and best chew for them. Generally, dogs fall into one of three chewing behaviors:

Light Chewers: These pups take their time enjoying chews but might get bored with them over time. Identified on our product pages with a light chewer icon, these soft chews are also perfect for puppies under 6 months to protect their growing teeth.

Moderate Chewers: It can be tricky to figure out what these dogs like, as they often devour their favorite chews but ignore others.

Power Chewers: These enthusiastic chewers will gnaw on just about anything and could wreck their chews quickly. They need tough, tasty chews like Filled Bones, Bully Sticks, or Buffalo Horns to keep them away from the furniture.

It's always best to choose a chew that's a bit bigger than your dog's mouth. If the chew gets too small, it could choke them, so replace it with a bigger one. This is crucial for dogs that chew quickly or swallow big pieces. And don't forget to always have fresh water available for your pet.

To keep your puppy's baby teeth safe and prevent them from falling out too soon, choose softer chew toys made especially for "Light Chewers." Light chewers gently nibble and enjoy their treats slowly, but often get bored with them. Even if your puppy loves to chew, these treats are softer and won't harm their little teeth. When shopping with us, keep an eye out for the "Light Chewer" icon below the name of the product.

Glucosamine and chondroitin are natural substances found in and around the cells of cartilage. They offer many health benefits for dogs, including:

Joint Health Maintenance:They help maintain joint health by supporting the repair of damaged cartilage, promoting new cartilage production, and cushioning joints.

Anti-inflammatory Properties:Glucosamine, in particular, has anti-inflammatory properties that can help reduce pain and swelling in the joints, providing dogs with more comfort and mobility.

Support for Aging Dogs:As dogs age, their natural production of glucosamine decreases, leading to gradual breakdown of the joint cartilage. Supplementing with glucosamine and chondroitin can help slow this process, making it especially beneficial for senior dogs.

Aid for Active and Large Breed Dogs:Active dogs and larger breeds are more prone to joint issues due to the increased stress on their joints. These supplements can help maintain joint strength and flexibility, reducing the risk of joint diseases.

Alternative to Medication:Including these supplements in treats is an easy way to ensure dogs receive these beneficial compounds without the need for separate pills or supplements. It's a convenient method for pet owners to incorporate joint care into their dog's daily routine.

Improving Quality of Life:Ultimately, glucosamine and chondroitin can significantly improve a dog’s quality of life by enhancing their mobility, reducing pain, and allowing them to remain active and happy.

Protein-rich treats are important for dogs for several crucial reasons, as protein plays a fundamental role in nearly every aspect of their health:

Muscle Maintenance and Growth: Protein is essential for building and repairing muscles. For active dogs or puppies that are growing, protein supports healthy muscle development and maintenance.

Energy: Protein provides a source of energy for dogs, helping them stay active and energetic. Unlike fats and carbohydrates, protein is processed slower, offering a more sustained energy release.

Body Function Support: Proteins are vital for the proper functioning of the body. They're involved in creating enzymes, hormones, and other bodily chemicals essential for health.

Immune System Health: Proteins help form antibodies, which are crucial for the immune system to fight off infections and diseases.

Healthy Skin and Coat: A sufficient protein intake is vital for maintaining a dog's skin and coat health. Proteins are necessary for the regeneration of skin cells and the growth of healthy fur.

Tissue Repair: Protein plays a key role in healing and repairing tissues in the body. After any injury or surgery, adequate protein is essential for recovery.

Optimal Growth in Puppies: For puppies, protein is especially important to ensure proper growth and development. It supports the formation of new tissues and healthy development of organs.

Weight Management: High-protein treats can help in weight management. Protein can make dogs feel fuller longer, reducing the likelihood of overeating. Additionally, a diet rich in protein can help preserve muscle mass during weight loss, ensuring that weight loss comes from fat rather than muscle.

Quality of Life and Longevity: Overall, a diet that includes adequate levels of high-quality protein can improve a dog's quality of life, promote longevity, and help prevent various health issues.

Dog Bones

The expiration date is read as MM/DD/YY. For example, EXP 031826 expires on 03/18/26.

No matter what size dog you have, they likely love to chew. Chewing on our natural bones, much like they would do in the wild, can gently massage their gums and help remove plaque and tartar buildup. This promotes healthier teeth and gums and can help freshen your dogs breath. However, as much as your dog might wish it, chewing on bones doesn't mean they can skip their regular teeth cleanings at the vet.

Our bones only come from suppliers we trust to be safe. Instead of cleaning them with bleach or harsh chemicals, we use a natural, special process. After that, we slow-roast the bones in their own juices, making sure not to add any chemicals or preservatives. And like with all our products, we test every batch for safety, from when we first get the materials until they're ready to be sent out. Since bones can break or splinter based on how vigorously your dog chews, it's important to keep an eye on your pet while they enjoy their bone.

What makes our meaty bones so special? It's the real meat on them! We carefully trim off any extra fat, leaving just the right amount of meat, tissue, and marrow behind. Then, for that irresistible taste, we dip our bones in liquid smoke, slowly roast them, and dry them in the oven under strict conditions. This process not only ensures they're properly sterilized but also makes them a safe and tasty treat that your dog would love to find in the wild!

GPT Keeping your pet safe is our top priority. Even though we carefully slow roast our natural bones to minimize the chances of them breaking or splintering, sometimes pieces can still break off due to the natural variations in bone density. If you see your dog breaking off and possibly swallowing pieces, please remove the bone and any loose bits right away. These fragments could lead to choking, blockages, or digestion problems. Always watch your dog when they're enjoying their chew and make sure they have access to fresh water. If you're unsure which natural bone is best for your pet, feel free to reach out to our customer service team or ask your veterinarian for advice.

PetPalz only sources natural bones from real animals, much like the ones your dog might stumble upon in nature. But, just as people and our pets vary, so do these animals. This can often lead to differences in the bones' color, size, and shape. When it comes to the color of the bones, you'll notice they're not uniformly white because PetPalz avoids using bleach or any harsh chemicals to clean them, ensuring they're completely safe for your dog.
